Newbie!
Hi gang,
I’m trying & failing to get my iPhone 13 (iOS 15.3.1) and the iNet box in my 2019 Auto-Sleeper Neuvo connected over Bluetooth.
I’ve done a lot of searching on here and other places and can see issues reported from a few years back that there was a problem between iPhones and iNet box in how the Bluetooth broadcasts (from the phones/tablets) seemed to tie-up the iNet connection.

- I’ve tried resetting the inet box with 20 second button hold
- I’ve power-cycled the inet box by removing the 12v connector
- I’ve reset the cp plus system
- app & iOS are up to date
- app, phone & phone Bluetooth have all been cycled

With the Bluetooth light flashing, no Truma box even shows up in the list of Bluetooth devices trying to pair.

From the Index on the CP controller, it looks like the inet box is still on v1.0.0, but I’m not sure how to update without the Bluetooth connection.

I had bought a 50p SIM from Asda to use the GSM option, but even that’s greyed out in the app - a horrible suspicion that, again, a Bluetooth connec is required!

I mailed Truma technical support a couple of weeks ago, but have had no reply (their auto-response suggested 3 days SLA!)

So, is this possible at all? Is anyone happily using the iNet box with an iPhone!?

Thanks,
Heeb

i wouldn't say happily but have used it yes, I think you are trying to pair via the iphone settings? Don't, you need to set it up in the app. ie push the button on the inet box, make sure its flashing blue then set up in the truma app - > settings - > Setup Truma iNet Box and wait ages, should show up.

I only discovered we had an iNet box in our 2022 motorhome yesterday, it was hidden behind the control panel.
I managed to pair it with my iPhone 12 running iOS 15.4.1 after installing the app, pushing the button on the iNet box and setting up as PaulC70 describes. It took a while & the first thing it did after pairing was to pop up a message on my phone telling me a firmware update was available for the iNet box. This downloaded and installed without issue.

Sorry, should’ve been clearer - yes, was trying via app many times and for extended periods - no joy. Was just checking in settings to see if it was even broadcasting. Can I ask what year your van is - in case they’ve fixed in new hardware?

Good to know. As above, as your van in a 2022, I’m wondering if they’ve produced a fix in either hardware or software - or I’m just being hideously unlucky!

2021 van here.

Do you have a iPad. Try the app on that rule out a phone problem. 👍🤪

According to the Truma app, my 2022 motorhome has the following:
iNet Hardware version 1.3.4
iNet Firmware version 2.9.6
Truma App version 4.12.5

I don't know what version of firmware we had prior to the update

Yes mine works perfectly. Try uninstalling the app, rebooting your phone then reinstalling truma app. I love mine.

I have paired my new iPhone 13 with my iNet box without a problem.

Been using INet box with various iPhones and currently with 13 model. Very occasionally if not used for a while I have to power down to get gsm to reset itself. If Bluetooth doesn’t connect I go into phone settings, open app and switch off Bluetooth then back on and it always reconnects.

Only other thing if it’s a new sim in the INet box is if it needs a PIN number?

The latest firmware for the iNet is 2.9.6 but you may be stuck on a version from before Truma issued the fix about a year or so ago. In which case you would be best borrowing an Android phone temporarily (they weren't affected) to get the firmware to the latest version. You should then be ok to carry on with the iPhone.

For reference my iNet box reports the latest version of hardware and firmware:

Solved!
Thanks all for the replies - gave me faith that it was fixable!

This is what I did. Got the Firmware updated and now Bluetooth & GSM working fine!

Many thanks,

Hi Guys

Can anyone help me please before I send my van back to the Dealer!!!

I took delivery of my Autotrail V Line 610 Sport on Tuesday after travelling from Durham to Nottingham to collect it. I have all the documentation to say that a full Habitation check, electrical and gas check has been done. They did not show me the Truma unit working at handover. In fact it had a fault that needed the Technician. I was then packed off home!. No one mentioned that the INET box has to be used with the App and that manual operation of the Truma panel is now no longer possible (presumably unless I remove the INET box). I have set up the Truma INET App on my Samsung A32 and eventually managed to Pair the INET box. However it still won't work as the INET box needs an update. When I go to do this it tells me all the requirements like Internet signal, phone at full power etc. I have done all of that but the update will not operate as it won't allow me to select it to do the update. I have no heating or hot water. To my mind, there is no way the Dealer could have done their checks as they would have had to update the INET box and therefore I wouldn't be being asked to do it now.

Can anyone please help, I am furious at this situation and thought I'd worked out exactly what to do but the App won't update. I've never ever had this before with any App that I've ever used.

I have not heard of the inet box stopping manual operation of the panel. Sounds ridiculous to me. Try removing the data cable from the inet box because that is how the box communicates with the heating system. The other end of the data cable can be connected either to the control panel or to the boiler, it doesn’t matter which because it is all part of the same network.

On my iPhone there are 2 Truma apps, the new one is called Truma iNet System and the old one is simply called Truma. I have avoided going to the new app because I have heard bad reports on it. If your Samsung phone also gives access to both apps perhaps you should try the other one.

Have you downloaded the latest inet app to your phone, it is this that sets up the Bluetooth connection.

The screen grab shows the New (on the left) and old (on the right) inet app which version do you have
