hi
Anyone ever stayed at designated truck stops with a moterhome over night
As we don't want to wild camp but not tied to campsites any ideas please

In the UK think you will have to pay just like the HGVs do. We have stopped with trucks in France and not had to pay but that was a few years ago.

Yes loads. Not MSAs though, proper truckstops.

As Edenside says if it's one where the truckers have to pay so do you.

I don't mind paying just wanted to know if they let moterhome park overnight and how do I find out where they are please

Hi.
Not a problem, against ? Lorries leaving at all hours and Fridge box motors coming on and going off,i found a couple of pints ensured a good nights sleep.
@NicNic has it right, don't block anyone in..... Enjoy.
Tea Bag.

I think Stibbingtons on the A1 charge £18 a night, not sure if that includes extras, showers etc or if you pay extra for that. Don't think I would want to pay £18 just to park for the night a Camping & Caravan CI would probably be cheaper & quieter. Stibbingtons are good for a food stop, do 24 hours except for the weekends, not sure of their closing times then but will be on their website, I recall being in the cafe when the staff were trying to explain to a foreign driver that if he stay Saturday it was free but Sunday he had to pay. He was so confused he thought he could stay Saturday but had to pay on Sunday for the Saturday night stop, he tried several times to pay until a customer did a translate on their phone for him.
