Troubleshooting Dometic 12V Fridge Freezing Issue

I have an issue with a dometic under counter 12 volt fridge.
the fridge temperature cannot be regulated and is freezing everything inside.
it appears that the control inside the fridge is fixed at level 5 and cannot be altered.
Can anyone help with suggestions on a fix or direct me to a repairer in the East Midlands.

What model of fridge ( there's normally a sticker inside somewhere ) but the thermister may be faulty.
