Trim paint coming off

I noticed this week that the silver has started peeling off the trim on the top of the van and was definitely there last week! Any advice how to sort this out? Could it be sanded and painted/sprayed easy for you think?
For contact the first picture is of the silver trim I mean, can’t think what else it would be called!

I think so. Initially I thought the whole thing was a moulding that came in silver but now leaning towards it being painted moulding

It could be the gel coat of the GRP molding.

Hmm just googled that and that is a cheap fix if so!
