Hi, regarding the above would you say, 2 hours a day or 2hours 3 times a week ,on ehu of course , don't want to over charge the battery !
Thanks.

What model? What's doing the charging? Modern charging systems will manage the charging so you should be able to leave it on permanently and it won't overcharge.

That CTEC should be left connected all the time. It will monitor the battery and deliver charge if required. No need to disconnect. An initial full charge cycle could take several hours to complete, so disconnecting it after 2 hours will prevent it doing its job.

Leave it on continuously, this is my similar charger switching itself on and off as it sees fit 👍

Yes, as said above the ctek can be left on permanently. It will 'manage' the battery - not just charge it.

So, is that the Pilote installed charger or just something you have used to charge it. I assumed you were referring to the motorhome built in electric system as you said EHU plugged in but that looks like a charger you would buy fro a car in Halfords.

Surely your Pilote has a Schaudt ElectroBlock EBL or similar which automatically charges the battery when EHU is plugged in?

You should have a built in charging system in your van that will take care of the charging as long as it’s on hook up as long as it a split charger it will trickle charge you vehicle battery as and when required.

Dealers have been supplying these chargers as recent Pilote's do not charge the engine battery. We had a Battery Master supplied and fitted FOC on a 2020 Pilote.

That’s interesting but in my view absolutely crazy as you say battery to battery is the solution🤔😊
