Hi,
Thinking of going to Santander from Plymouth this summer.
Is it worth upgrading to the cabin with a window? How claustrophobic is a 2 berth cabin without a window?
Noticed that there is mention of a discount code - if anyone could share, that would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

We find a 2 berth inside quite claustrophobic, so book a 4 berth inside, have had one with a window but all I could see was the lifeboat, not conducive to relaxation.

If you are panicking about feeling closed in then book a cabin with a window. It has never bothered me but we are all different. Welcome to the forum by the way(y)

This site provides a wealth of information to users and relies on Funsters paying their subs and a lot of help from all that help provide it. To ask for a code that will save you money on a fare without spending a small sub to become a member although you may not have realised it defeats the whole camaraderie of this forum.

The code isn’t free, it costs over a hundred quid if I remember correctly. It’s call friends and family and you’re neither so I’m not going to help you save a lot of money, sorry.

We had a 4 berth with a window but tbh could hardly see anything out of it so wouldn’t bother with a window next time but the 4 berth does give a bit more room

Nah! Paul.

Don't you remember the bloke last week who, on his first UNPAID FOR SUBS, post asked for a code in 9 minutes.
i am a member and i am not asking for any codes but out of interest what are the savings. it does seem a very popular question asked

Think it’s 10% off the cost of the sailing with vehicle. Excluding cabins etc. So can be a decent reduction.

No way the wife would have an inside cabin, must have a window or she'll sleep on the deck.

We’ve just crossed on the Santona and paid for an outside cabin, it included the Commodore lounge. The cabin certainly wasn’t particularly fancy but the lounge was great. Mind you we’ve got the old membership so get 30% off the crossing.
Anyway, I’m worth it. Don’t you dare argue Derek Emmit

Happy to let paid up members have a code but not people passing through.

I personally spend as little time in the cabin as possible and always want an inside cabin, preferably as low down in the vessel as possible and as close to the centreline as possible too.

The benefits are there is less movement in such a cabin compared to the alternatives. Experience from a long time sailor across the oceans 😜

The picture of the window in the internal cabins surprised me as to how real they looked, and a better view than looking at the sea and sky as the ship heels back and forth in the adverse weather

Likewise with mine but she comes back into my cabin in the morning though
