hi I'm travelling down to the south of France and was looking at stopping in camping du lac Kir but when I looked at their website they said the bridge was under repair and only allowed vehicles 3.5t and under to go over does anyone know of another stop over for a couple of days that would be suitable

What sort of area are you looking to stop in ?

We were at Du Lac Kir last week.

May I suggest you call them to check the road layout and see if the road is accessible?

The site was not alerting people of the issue when before we travelled, but we managed to get our 8.72m mh and 3m trailer through the concrete chicanes, but it was very tight!

If you are traveling down Av Albert 1er onto Bd Chanoine Kir, there is a left hand turn which you could take to access the slip road to the site. I have marked the left turn as a red marker on attached map. Google maps will also be your friend here.

There is also a 3m tunnel if your van is not too tall.

Good luck with whatever you choose. Nice site, pleasant walk into Dijon and the lake is definitely worth a walk around.

thanks I am understanding 3m that would work last year when I went to the same site I actually went through the hospital and went under the bridge so I know I can do that but was worried that I I couldn't get back through the hospital as there was a barrier but ill check out the route on your map and maybe just go for it

There is a barrier at the hospital, but you can access the tunnel from both sides of the carriageway. Good luck, happy travels

As per Riverbankannie's post, municipal site is fine, walkable to town but also has a bustop right outside the camp gate.

Just thought I'd say that I'm not jealous, not at all, why would I want to be travelling down to the south of France when I can stay here in rainy Lancaster. Grump over for the day.
Hope you find somewhere good.

Hi, too late for you I know but useful for others, if you approach from the north along the lake there is no problem. I was there last week with a 7.6m x 3m a class 4.25t
