Went to stop at Stratford upon Avon leisure centre today but overrun with travellers. All the marked out spaces for motorhomes p were full of caravans or 4x4s and lots more scattered about in the coach and lorry bays. Generators, kids and bags of rubbish. No spaces for motorhomes (full of caravans and 4x4s) and looked most unwelcoming so moved on. Messed up our plans, but far more importantly hope this doesn't lead to yet another knee jerk reaction and another excellent motorhome park up being closed due to the scummy behaviour of travellers. Nothing to do with motorhomes and totally unrepresentative of us but a danger of us all being classed the same.
Why don't the police and councils treat the travellers the same as they would you and I and ticket them and maybe even check the paperwork and legality of their vehicles. Easier to wait for them to eventually move on and become someone else's problem ??

The same “community” politicians treat as ‘disadvantaged’. When I worked for the NHS ambulance service, Tony Blair’s government said they had to have double-time GP appointments (20 mins while you and me had 10), we had to go visit the camps to tell them all about how to get special help from the NHS and other support not available to you and me. New camps built for them at the taxpayers’ expense (and wrecked by them in some cases).
Did they appreciate all this? Not a bit. Take it all and still they’re a boil on society’s bum.

I understood gypsies once I was told they treat the rest of society as a resource to be harvested.
So we do the work and they take what they want.

A few years ago a 14 year old gyppo stole a BMW and drove it too fast in the camp. He splatted a 4 year old - killing him.
Rather than call an ambulance they threw him into a white van and drove to A&E - only thing being tat the staff then were not expecting him.
The emergency room was packed with the two families and it took 10 policemen to break up the ruckus
