Very difficult. Depends what you call reasonable but ours is over £1000 per annum even though our conditions are stable and neither of us seen a gp or specialist in last couple of years. With Staysure.how do you find reasonable priced travel insurance with medical conditions
What are their terms and requirements like. I was with Staysure but their questions were exacting and confusing, and seemed full of possible traps in the small print. Plus you have to go to separate underwriters who charge heavily for each referral. I'm presently with Costing too much, or similar name, but it's due up at the end of April, and I have just had a pacemaker fitted, which will knock it up more. Although the Cardiology Specialist says my heart is healthy and I should be good for a another 5 or 10 yearsHave a look at Just Travel. 93 days per trip, 180 days in policy duration. Will cover existing conditions. With Mr. GT’s raised BP we just renewed at circa £450 for the year.
Seemed fairly straightforward. I think all these companies have standard questions and algorithms which are driven by your answers. We didn’t get referred out to the underwriters so perhaps a simpler medical situation. Have a look at their website is all I can suggest. What are their terms and requirements like. That's cheap! Euro tunnel own insurance was looking reasonable, but only for the one trip. I've always preferred annual, but at over £1000 last year, perhaps I'll just do it in tranches as required. For our current 8 week trip we were quoted between &£1,500 and £2,000 from those who would cover us, found it with "insurewith" for just over ,£200. Plenty of codes around for 20% off.
Recommended that to our daughter today but new T&Cs require taking it out at the time of booking the Eurotunnel and didn’t include Eurostar travel. That's cheap! Yes, I've got Tesco vouchers for about a third of the quoted 3 weeks tour, that's why I might go for it on Euro tunnel, sorry, le Shuttle, this time. Now I've got some more life!!Recommended that to our daughter today but new T&Cs require taking it out at the time of booking the Eurotunnel and didn’t include Eurostar travel.
Ironically the annual policy would have been £165, so much cheaper but would only allow trips up to 31 days. That's cheap! Euro tunnel own insurance was looking reasonable, but only for the one trip. They're not new T&Cs Riverbankannie as I was told that about 5 years ago when I tried to take the insurance out at a later date.Recommended that to our daughter today but new T&Cs require taking it out at the time of booking the Eurotunnel and didn’t include Eurostar travel.
i would query that with petplan my dog is 14 years old with a couple of conditions and his is £656.75Just to add, insurance on the car is £1100 just come in today and Petplan on a fit 4 year old dog is £1200 so maybe ours about right in today’s world.
Insurance companies use a generic list of questions about health conditions (rather like car insurance companies do). There is hardly any room to specify in detail about a particular health condition; not all have the same impact on lifestyle. Try Just Travel who recognise this "catch-all" questioning and probe a little bit further to ascertain health risk. They did feature a while back on a radio consumer programme about their new approach to health insurance.how do you find reasonable priced travel insurance with medical conditions
If you're doing any sports or adventurous activities then Sportscover Direct are really good for covering pre existing conditions.I have had single trip insurance x 2 with 'Insurance With' as was still having chemo/waiting for test results/ between treatments etc. They were ok to insure , best prices as well - but the forms on line q complex as they have sep headings for medical issues - in my case some were same cause is caused by chemo not sep illness - so had to back track on some sections as had already covered that ...
The did not offer me an annual policy when I applied .
I did a search on gocompare and ended up with Insure and Go for £700 which included the USA and cruising with some medical issues. I tried Staysure but they were over £1000how do you find reasonable priced travel insurance with medical conditions
If it's for personal and motorhome insurance I use CAMC Red Pennant as they only have about 6 questions and seem reasonably priced and paid out quickly when my wife had a minor heart attack and we had to cancel our winter holiday in Spain.how do you find reasonable priced travel insurance with medical conditions
