Travel Insurance

Does anybody know of travel insurance that can be taken out when outside the UK. Insurance was with EuropePlus until today and they are not renewing policies at this time whilst looking for new underwriters, understood this would have been sorted by now but now moved to end of September. Hence the need for Insurance to cover over and above GHIC to continue trip.

We were in a similar position last year. We used Bigcat travel insurance. Expensive, but served the purpose for a couple of months

Thanks for the info, I have a feeling I tried them and they had an age limit of 69 years. Will look again.
Tried BIBA who directed me to the section for Insurance when not in home country. What a waste of time, every Broker said no and site and blamed the site for not being updated.
