Going to France/Spain for 65 days late April.

As we all know, our standard multi-trip insurance will not cover that length of time, so will need to buy a single trip policy.

The cheapest (after extensive research) is the same company as last year but increased by £40 to £219 😟.

Has anyone found anything cheaper than this recently?

The really annoying thing is having to include things like baggage and cancellation, both unnecessary 🤷‍♂️

I upgraded my staysure insurance to 100 days, it increased my policy to around £200 but I also have medical conditions so I am quite happy to pay for the peace of mind with a reputable company. Might be worth a phone call.

Thanks, will give them a try.

Meanwhile, I have finally found a company (medicaltravelinsurance.co.uk) who directed me to a policy that has zero cover for baggage and cancellation at a cost of £164 👍

I received an advert from AllClear and they quoted approx £800 for their "standard" policy but they had £500 ones with no cancellation payments. However, Tesco wanted £280 for a similar policy including cancellation costs.

Does it cover you for the 90 days you require though?

£200 or anywhere near already sounds very good value, of al insurances this is one that needs to be right not necessarily cheap

what was your previous duration limit ? If it was 60 days is it an option to drop a few days off your trip

LV Annual Multi trip, 90days max per trip - joint cover aged 69 & 67 in good health. £230.

Tried Allclear and the quote was more than £500, with included 20% discount!!!!

A lot of quotes were around £220, all including cover for baggage and cancellation.

Went back to medicaltravelinsurance.co.uk and added all our medical conditions which between us included high blood pressure x1, diabetes x1, cholesterol x2, asthma x1.

Made no difference to the original quote which cost £164 + £2 admin fee. This was for 65 days. It is a ‘Silver’ policy that does not include cover for baggage or cancellation.
