Our Annual, multi-trip insurance is due for renewal in March and we received our renewal quote today.

The Premium quoted, by Staysure, was £233.59p about £40 up on last year. Although I thought it sounded OK for multi-trip, (35 days max per trip), I decided to do the usual on-line comparisons.

To put it in perspective we will both be 77 years of age at time of renewal, both physically fit and currently in good health.

On-line Quotes varied from the lowest at £334.15p to the highest at £843.2. 😱

Quoted levels of cover did vary but “Ye Gods”, what a spread.

It’s a bloody minefield mate.
Hours of trawling tinternet..
We just use EHIC soon to be GHIC
Mitch
No repatriation in case of serious illness or accident with GHIC otherwise quite good.

We had to rely on EHIC when my wife fell off her bike and broke a leg in France. The treatment she received at the French hospital was excellent. However, if it had been more serious requiring urgent return to U.K. for medical reasons it would have cost thousands.

I suppose, like in many things, the Harry Callaghan quote “Do you feel lucky” applies.

It just amazes me, the difference between quotes.

We’ve been using Avanti with disclosures price has been sensible.
Although to be renewed in a few months.
