In May we are travelling to Greece via the Balkans - Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Bulgaria. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to visit and stay - campsites/ motorhome stops? Thanks Judy

There's a good little aire at Senj on the coast, Croatia. You're parked just feet from the sea, bars restaurants and nice town nearby. Ehu and all services.
It was about 20 euro, no idea now but it's a nice place for a couple of nights
Edit, just looked, it's called Kamp Skver now and seem to charge extra for ehu and parking overlooking the sea.
There seems to be cheaper options in the town but without the sea.

It's not really a campsite and they do pack them in so not a lot of room to get the awning out. But there is a nice promenade 50 yards away with lots of space and direct access the beach for a morning swim

Make sure to visit the national parks, Plitvice and Krka.
There is also a beautiful little village the locals call little Plitvice. It's called Rastoke and has the same karsk topography of cascading waterfalls and pools without the crowds or admission fee of Plitvice.
I overnighted by the river on a carpark without problem but that may have changed

We travelled through Balkans for 5 months last year, especially loved Bosnia Herzegovina and Slovenia:

Places in B&H I recommend:

Jajce. Apparently, it is one of only a handful of places in the world with a waterfall in the town centre! Hostel with overnight and facilities parking within 5 mins walk of the waterfall.

Stolac - River camp Heaven In Nature. Set in the mountains, next to a river. Glorious views, wonderful host whom you must ask to show you his 400 year old washing machine. I kid you not 😁

If going to Sarajevo and Mostar, would recommend a guided walking tour. Use the FreeTour.com app. You can give a donation to the knowledgeable guide at the end. Also, the war museum is worth a visit, but imo, it is very, very sad, eerie and blood chilling - terrible what man can do to his fellow man.
