July and August are the main holiday period and I don't expect many Spanish holidaymakers would be enjoying the 35°c to 40°c most will be somewhere on the coastline..
I'm sure you will accommodated

There you go....sorted...I would imagine you took them by suprise asking for a reservation 8 months in advance....that's not how it works here....not very Spanish....Sorted now ,called them said no need to book cheers

Central Spain is fairly quiet in the summer the same goes for Easter...everyone migrates to the Coast...
In a National Park here in Murcia the restaurant's close in July and August....why...nobody goes there in Summer....
A friend of ours owns a Five Star hotel in the same Sierra....it's closed now until mid January....because no demand this time if the year... Simple...
Make sure your Aircon is serviced before your trip....ours will be....and we too will be on the coast....Safe Travels..
