I'm a newbie
We have a Autotrail Apache 700 2011 the Trauma gas water heater isn't working . I've blown air through vents , gas is working fine all fuses on 12volt board are good . I've read somewhere there's supposed to be an inline fuse I can't find this anywhere . Its flashes red briefly then goes out instead of staying green . any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated .

I know ours is a pig to start sometimes. Make sure the outside cover is off, and give it a good blow through the vent.
But normally the red light stays on if it won't start..

The green light should come on and you should hear it clicking to ignite the gas, if this fails it will turn red. I had exactly the same issue about 3 weeks ago. Gas seems to take much much longer to get through to the water heater. I did also blow through the external vent to make sure there was no debris in there.

Make sure the external vent cover is removed. Took me about 10 attempts to get it to light. When it did eventually light it stayed green for about 5 minutes then went red again. Switched it off. Left it for 15 minutes and then tried again and it stayed lit and worked fine after that.

Should it make the clicking noise even if it flashes red ? As its not making any noise . Ive been trying it for ages , i always put the gas hob on to make sure its not the gas.

No if I remember the clicking stops when it turns red. The circuitry must detect that it hasn't ignited and stop the ignition process. and you have to turn it off and back on to get it to click again.

Thanks for your help .It's booked into a Auto Electrics workshop tomorrow to have the electric step repaired . I'll get them to check the water heater gas ignition.
