- Since 2010, with rentals so far, but planning to buy a motorhome in the next few weeks
Hello everyone,
As I mentioned in another thread, we're seriously looking into buying a new Sunlight A72 motorhome, and yesterday sent an email requesting a quote to 16 Sunlight dealers in Germany. Just one answered with a price, mentioning the quoted price would be valid only until today 17:00... seems they are having a big motorhome trade fair in Düsseldorf
and he says that if I don't agree on the sale by the time the trade fair ends, the price goes up by almost EUR 1,000 :-/
Of course I didn't just fall off turnip truck, and am well acquainted with salesmen pressure tactics both here in SA and in the USA... but never dealt with any sales guy from Germany.
So, I would like to ask: Do these "trade fair only price" thing is true in Germany, or is it just another salesman pressure tactic like it is in the Americas?
Thanks in advance for your response.
Cheers,
