Hi All,

Be gentle with me here pls - do you have any favourites or recommendations for traction mats for use under the MoHo wheels on grass/soft areas?
I see brands like Milenco, but also see reviews where they fail/break up under load.

My MoHo is rated at 4.4te.....

I think they look like sensible emergency gear for the garage area.

Cheers, Mark

Cheapest, and some say best, are Old Bread Trays that it's delivered into shops in.
Cut off the ends and sides.

We've been motorhoming for about 15 years ranging from campsites to rallies to aires to wildcamping and never needed them.
Ramps - now thats another matter 🤣. Besides Milenco, I've got a few different lengths of scaffolding boards and on one occasion when the grass looked a little soft under wheel, I used the boards under the tyres to 'park-up' on. That worked fine.

Forget the mats.
Either get some bread crates and cut them down. Or some "waffle boards" or "sand ladders".

Also look for some GRP grating, this can be cut down to make boards, you can sometimes get offcuts.

I've got a pair of Tracmats after nearly getting stuck in sand once. I'm still carrying them around and haven't used them yet, probably because I'm now very cautious of driving onto any ground which looks dubious!

A few short lengths of decking board will do the same job and will double up as levellers too.

Just make it standard practice to drive onto them when parking on grass and you will never be unable to drive off your pitch.
