How many of you have been charged extra on sites for your car when towing on an A frame , in 12 years of having an A frame (not using it all the time ) I have never been charged, this morning I made an inquiry about a site and it was £2 extra for my car,he told me hundreds of sites charge for cars with motorhomes

Only one campsite in the south of France tried to charge us extra for our TOAD (recently), we refused and went off to a better campsite elsewhere (happy to give up the deposit as the site looked ‘crap’ when we arrived - booked from Internet), have stayed in many campsites, ASCI and non, booked and non-booked. The general rule from reception is, as long as you tow it to your pitch through the gate then no extra charge. They are happy to add the registration number of the TOAD for the ANPR access control too.
