Looking at possibly changing from a 5.4 metre Ducato PVC to this Knaus. Has anyone done similar?
Specifically interested in the 2 bed option vs. single bed - does the drop-down bed significantly reduce the daylight inside by blocking the front rooflight when stowed?
The advantage as I see it is to have a permanently made up bed that is ready to use within a short time, whilst retaining a useable lounge area beneath when it is stowed. Not interested in the MQ model at all.
In addition, have been reading about problems with water tank taps/selectors either being stuck, or breaking off - is this a widespread problem, or is it easily fixable?

A nice step up if you want something a little bigger than a PVC. However be careful about payload, I don't think that van has any

That is at a plated weight of 3200 kg. Seems easy to up-plate to 3500 kg. (Have seen some dealers doing that from new)

Have just had a play with the Knaus online configurator tool and increasing to 3,500 Kg is the way to go, which beefs up the front and rear suspension at an additional weight cost of 10 Kg, so a no-brainer really. Also, speccing a LiPo4 battery actually reduces the basic MIRO weight by 12 Kg.
Interestingly, the Knaus MIRO figures are calculated with a 90% full diesel tank, which personally, I would never drive with - I tend to run at no more than 50% full which would also save some weight.
