Looking for an Apple CarPlay compatible app that accepts vehicle dimensions and found an earlier thread on the Beta version that did, then didn’t, accept dimensions. Any current users of the full iOS version can confirm if it does include them? If it does then £19.99 per annum seems a reasonable deal.

Tomtom Go for trucks is £80 per year - way too expensive but as good as a dedicated Camper Version.

Hi Orion

The very latest Apple CarPlay Tomtom Mobile Go App version 3.5.1 has just been released and it does not have the facility to input vehicle data other than your cars Fuel Type and a Max speed. I am sure that at some point TT will release a Truck and or Camper version of the App. Sygic have an Apple CarPlay Truck/Caravan version which may be of interest to you. I have not purchased/used the App so I cannot comment on it other than I have used the car based Sygic version very occasionally and generally it works okay but I much prefer the TT App. The App is about £60 if bought soon after downloading and there is extra annual costs for Traffic and Cameras etc

PS Ninjabob's post above is the Android version so hopefully this is an indication that an Apple version is a possibility.

Thanks both. I’ve viewed the iOS version on the App Store and it doesn’t mention dimensions, but there is a 7 day free trial period so I’ll install it and see what’s in there. Cheers.

I've got the android version of TomTom Go which has just been updated with the latest maps and can confirm it DOES NOT have the ability to input vehicle dimensions.

Hi Sasbo

Is it possible that the ability to input vehicle dimensions etc is only possible if you have subscribed for the Truck option

Currently that would appear to be the case. My TTgo annual subscription was £19 (special offer last year) the truck version is circa £99.

I've got Sygic RV and Copilot RV android based apps for the motorhome which I run on an 8 inch tablet, both allow vehicle dimensions to be inputted. Both of these apps have their idiosyncrasies so I usually plan with Google Maps which usefully can be uploaded to Sygic.

I use a Tom Tom stand alone sat nav and the My Drive app to plan and set routes that link to the sat nav.

If you use the to Tom Go app on the iPhone do you log into your original Tom Tom account and therefore get access to your My Places and any additional POI you may have installed. I asked Tom Tom this but never got a reply.

No takers then? 😊

Hi royandsharont

Yes you do get the same MyPlaces and My Routes as you do on the stand alone PND units. What does not happen is if you create a route on your PND it does not appear on the Mobile App as it would on any other PND logged in on the same account.

Tomtom Go for Android now shows the boundaries of all the ULEZ zones in England and it would appear in France

I have a Go Camper Max - wondering if I am able to link 'What3words' on the device -
Browsed the manual online but unable to find anything, although on the web it seems to indicate TomTom and What3words to integrate
