Toll tag mounting

Hi
Just got our toll tag through and the instructions say to mount in the dotted area around the mirror
We don’t have a mirror but we do have a black rectangle with the dotted area around it but it’s only 1 cm wide
We have a Bailey/ boxer . Anyone help with this?

Mine just lays in the tray on the dash above the radio. Worked well for us.

we mounted ours slightly lower, we found that if we mounted in the hatched area it was very hit and miss to activate the barriers, this was due to the position of the toll radar and the overhang of our motor home.

It will/should work in an areas other then the hatched area if your windscreen is not athermic (heat reflecting) or heated like on some Fords.

The reflective material in an athermic screen and the heating elements in a heated screen will normally block the signal between the tag and the gantry mounted reader.

The shaded/mottled areas on screens are specifically free of such obstructions.

Just fitted our Fulli tag.

Our screen is very similar to the OP, although Swift/Ducatto, but does have a rear view mirror (removeable, largely pointless, but handy to see what cupboard has swung open once we set off). I've mounted our tag just to left and roughly same height as the mirror, in the solid black area, so we'll see in a couple of weeks if that works. No real overhang on our van. Came with an extra mounting clip so easy enough to try a different position if we need to.
