Am I allowed to talk sh1t on this forum? ![Face with tears of joy :joy: 😂](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f602.png)
Re our Thetford toilet, it works fine but there are some deep scratches at the bottom of the bowl, just above where the blade seals to it from underneath. I imagine that a previous owner maybe had a problem with a sticking blade, and used some kind of sharp implement (screwdriver or knife {hope they washed it before the next meal!}
etc) to release it and in the course of doing so left deep scratches to the bowl.
Whilst they don't affect the performance (of both the person sat on the throne, or the toilet itself!) I'm concerned that the scratches/rough surface will allow 'things' to stick to it and therefore harbour germs and smells.
So finally to my question - what are my options? Is it simply (and costly) a complete replacement of the entire toilet system, or are there (resin?) fillers on the market that will allow the scratches to be filled, leaving a smooth surface once more?
If anyone can put forward a 'motion' for consideration I will be 'relieved'!![Face with tears of joy :joy: 😂](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f602.png)
