Our cassette is stuck and we can't get it out. Any ideas what to do? Its a Hymer B674.

F you cannot “jiggle” it free or cannot get anything in through the bowl to force the blade you may have to brute force the cassette out. Not a great thing to happen

Look I know nothing but it sounds as if something is jamming.
We know you can’t remove the cassette if the blade is open so that seems the logical place to start.
It seems a mechanical fault, I don’t think there is any electrical contacts stopping it?
Hand down the bowl with the blade open methinks!

Is the toilet flap opening fully with the handle or is it jamming stopping the removal of the cassette?

The blade inside the toilet is opening and closing ok. We think its the grey cover on the actual cassette that has gone awry and maybe something else. Not loving the idea of hand down the toilet as while it isn't full there are some contents.

What would we be looking for down the bowl? It would have to be my hand as Glenn's is too big.
It looks like the grey slidey thing on top of the cassette has got knocked out of position so I don't think putting my hand down the bowl will help or will it?

No tame grandkids about? :giggle:

It’s not the blade itself that stops the cassette moving.
Rather, when you close the blade, that action rotates a rectangular knob on the top of the cassette. When sitting “sideways” that stops the cassette sliding out. When sitting “front to back” it lets the cassette slide.
You won’t get to that knob from inside the cassette, but you may be able to see it along the top of the cassette.

Edit: I see you sorted it - that’s great!
