fiat Swift edge
We have a Swift Edge 494 & the toilet cassette indicator is showing full even when the cassette has been emptied. The only time the light goes out is when the cassette is taken out to empty any ideas!

Yay it's a toilet thread :)

The cassette has a small float at the rear, usually with a magnet. It can get stuck with gunge. Or falls off.

A grotty job but you may need to reach in to free the float, or see if it's still there.

Sensor (magnet) inside the cassette is broken or displaced, can be caused by over shaking the cassette when emptying/flushing. Next to impossible to see from outside, an exploded parts diagram might help - can you confirm which model of cassette it is so someone can find you a drawing?

Always empty the cassette whenever we have the opportunity.

The cassette can get gummed up with soft scale from all the cr** that goes into it especially from p.
Open the blade and use a hose with a good pressure to flush it through especially just under the blade area to dislodge any build up.

Open the trap and look at the level, when it gets near the blade empty it. Generally I empty it every day, saves having to worry about the unreliable warning light.

When you can, take out the cassette, fill with warm water and add citric acid, leave it, shake it, drain and rinse. Had my cassette in the van for 18 years now, it never worked until I did this, then found it still attached inside 👍🏻

At least once a year I pull our cassette apart and Karcher all the parts.
Put it back together and spray the rubber seals with silicone.

It does not take a lot to bung up a cassette as the 'ingredients' contain large amounts of limescale, acids, shredded paper, and very strong bleaches.

Quite frankly it's amazing they last as long as they do !

A lot of people carry a second cassette as back up !
