We use our Alde to protect against cold weather, leaving it on hook up on our drive
I had been aware of excess mains power consumption recently when cold but not very , shouldn’t have brought on the heating which we set at 6C
We have been away for two nights and I had a eureka moment
We use the night option to reduce temp overnight, never thought to turn this feature off when home
So I think that overnight where we have it set to 16C our Alde has been increasing the temp to that every night
Now turned our night setting off
