bessacarr E435
Hi,

We are about to purchase a fiat ducato Bessacarr E435 and the garage has carried out work to get it through its MOT. I asked if the belt was replaced and he didn’t know. Thinks it’s maybe a chain.

The van has 55,000 miles and it’s a 2007. I can’t find any info online about a belt or chain. Does anyone know?

Thanks

2.2 is a Ford Puma engine and it has a chain. Not to be confused with the 2.287cc or 2.3 Iveco engine which has a belt.

Chains don't need changing as regularly as belts.
I’ve yet to pick it up and I asked if the belt had been changed and he thought it was a chain but he isn’t sure so going to check with his service department.

Happy for them to change it however I’m not willing to pay for it. I’m expecting this to be done as part of the sale and working needing done. My deposit receipt also said to replace belt if needed.
