hi everyone

i’ll ask Camino in the morning, but just wondered if anyone else had received 2 x sims rather than just the one which i’ve ordered. They came today in a yellow envelope and nothing else 😉

Also as i’m not wanting it to start until Jan 7th is that doable do you know.

cheers and merry christmas

I did the same thing sent me two cards activate on the day I arrived in France very good service

Camino sends two cards as one is a back up.

Asked mine to kick in from the 1st Jan and this was agreed.

If you are only needing the sim for short periods, once the sim is activated you can’t stop it then restart it. You can pause it for €3 per month then reactivate the same sim.

Can it be cancelled and I apply for another one?

Yes......but you will obviously need to pay to buy the new ones. I use mine several times a year so decided just to suspend it and CMino activates it when I need it. As I said €3 each month to suspend account when not used.

hi everyone

just getting ready for the big off on friday, i've asked Camino to activate one of the sim cards which she has done, i've unlocked the sim card using the code no. supplied after inserting in my iphone.

When i fit it in my Huawei router I get a Sin red notification but it does not seem to be working as in when I connect to it using my iphone or anything else their is no wireless internet

The info provided by tiekom says

Once deactivated, you will be able to use the sim in your router but you will need to configure the internet access protocol (APN).

Vodafone APN is:

user: vodafone

password: vodafone

apn:
ac.vodafone.es

Has anyone any understandable they can pass on please, do I have to change this info in the router, if so how? or in the iphone

Think I did it in my phone? Also roaming must be on on your MiFi as it’s a Spanish sim so it’s roaming? Wish I could remember what I did more clearly! Ask Camino - she’s great!

As Stonemags76 said. Make sure on the mifi unit that you have enabled roaming. I had exactly the same problem and on advice from someone on here it was soon up and running.

I have been using Tiekom now for over a year and have motorhome wifi with Huawei router it works really well.
here’s a link for support.

Just set mine up in Spain in the last 5 minutes. Followed Camino’s instructions and worked first time. Nobody likes a smart a**e
are you saying i'm a smart arse??

Camino isnt working apparently today so i'm following the instructions i'm getting for tiekom

did you set it up on your phone first, if so how?

and are you using the same router?

Ha ha…. No me being the smart arse.

I put the SiM in my phone, deactivated code and then moved SIM to my router and luckily it logged straight on. Makes a change.

From memory had to change the apn I will see if I can find the instructions for you and post a copy on here😊

Anyone know if this includes Morocco as going later in the year and I already have a SIM?

Probably all been said above but I remember I had to go onto my phone and enter the code that I was sent to deactivate the existing PIN number then add my code. Did all that then had the same problem as you regards Sin Red on mifi. That’s when I reread instructions in mifi booklet ( from MotorHome Wi-Fi) which told me where to find the place to tick to allow roaming. Did all this in Spain once I arrived. Took me a while but got there in the end.

i'm now convinced its the sim cards, the router sees mine and my son vodaphone sim cards no issues and works perfectly

the ''Sin red'' shows only when the tiekom supplied cards are inserted so i'm stuck dead in the water :crying:

Yes you need to change the APN as per instructions in my last post😊 don’t forget to down load the Huawei app to enable you to change APN👍😊

i’m convinced it’s the sim’s as i’m getting no service at all, its like they've not been activated

Have you entered vodafone as the password
yes Dave, the row of dots don't show up in my post, if you look at the first image its showing no bars and no service

even in my iphone its saying no service so its either the cards are both faulty, which i doubt or they are not activated, talk about going round in circles

i'm hoping Camino is working tomorrow tbh but if she sends the same info them i'm stumped

This is the email I had telling me what to do. Blacked out my details as not sure if pins same or different for each card. Sorry the user bit should follow on from second part.
