Hi have any of you changed a Thule single step motor shaft and bushing, is it easier to take the step off the van or is it just as easy to do the job with the step on the van thanks for any advice

Bit late to the party, but I'm doing this right now.

I found it pretty easy to get underneath and do it in situ. Bit fiddly to get the main bolt out to remove the motor as I need to hold the nut with a socket and turn the bolt with a torx ratchet whilst lying on the ground with about a foot of space, but other than that it was fine.

Yes it’s a bit tricky, but worth it
