Yes I did manage to fit it with the assistance of my son, I marked the position of the original with tape so I could put the new arm in the same place, you need to remove the plastic end caps (torx I think) and slacken the clamps at both ends (10mm nut) you should be able to slide the arm along the profile, probably easier to do it with the awning wound out, we managed with it out a small amount because of the space available to us. I would say a second pair of hands is a must and a stable pair of steps.
