Thank you (y) - will probably buy one of these to get us started & just need a good deal on the Huawei E5530 now - Argos have no stock levels of the £19.99 EE version with 6GB data at the moment :( Our new Solwise booster works well but need this for when no FON or unlocked WiFi.

is this 12months from first use or twelve months from purchase?
what is quidco ?

Just what I was after for my upcoming European jaunt....thanks for the heads up...ordered!

Just to update this, the cost is £22.99, not £21.84 as original posted on HotUKDeals.

Excellent thanks, just ordered.

Me thinks Minxy has led me into a scam
It looked good so I bought one
Now after reading all the reviews I'm going to actually get one:Eeek:
I only wanted a refund:doh::rofl:
Now can any of you Web tech tell me
Havng experienced my first venture in a hewi thingy wifi using a 3 1GBs sim just to test it,and it works great (No signal on 3 phone but huwwie is steaming along on 3 Why
Looked at topping up with 3 and they want £10 for 1GB When this test sim was only £4.95 with 1xGB
WhyWhyWHY

Thanks @Minxy Girl for the heads up! £21.84 with the code. That will come in handy for our Winter trip to Beni.

Have only used my 4GLTE mifi with my EE data sim so far (been great 4g but EE no good in europe) do I need to activate the 3 sim before crossing the channel?

The mysteries of Three. :) You'll probably find you can get 3Gb for £15 which is better value if you need to top up while away.

I don't like Belgian chocolate. Far to sweet and sickly
Once went on a tour of a Belgian chocolate factory, had loads, never been able to face it since:sick::(

No you don't NEED to activate it before you go but it might be worth doing so, so you are sure it's working okay, just do it a week before to be safe.(y)

Because they can ... if you top up any of these types of sims they will always cost more than just buying another ... it's the cost you pay for the convenience of not having to replace the sim.

Thanks for the reference.
What we are finding, currently in France using a 3 sim that supposedly gives you 12 months use from first use (up to the data limit), is that we can get a strong signal from the local 3 'partner' here in France (currently Orange, near Rouen) but the best we get is 3G and the bandwidth seems really restricted. Not possible to stream radio 4 or even open pages other than slowly.
So whilst it is certainly a good deal, be warned about how much access you will get in France.

Streaming might not be allowed while roaming, I couldn't watch YouTube in France

Its the same everywhere I think, not just France. I never got a 4G signal anywhere on our last trip with a 3 card in France, Italy or Spain. It was adequate for looking at emails and uploading things to MHF but if you want a really quick connection you need to buy a local sim. The exception in France might be if you have a UK Orange account - but that's just guesswork on my part.
