That's what I have, also have an extra 24GB SIM for when I'm abroad.

Can anyone advise whether these still have to be activated in the Uk before roaming use? I know they had to be at one time, but I think someone had suggested this was no longer the case?

As we only use an average of around 1Gb a month that works out to £192 for the same period so not really viable for low volume users.

We have had no problem activating ours abroad.Pop it into the sim and it connects.Register it with 3 if you want to check data usage.

But I did have one that did not work.I had it about 2 years as a back up.
The call centre said they can expire if not used, as they need to recycle the numbers.
Anyone know if that is still the case

I only have 8gb/month at the moment but that £8 includes unlimited calls and texts all over Europe.
I do tend to use about 8Gb while I'm away for a month in Europe, just keeping up with a couple forums and emails.
I don't use it for streaming TV.
