The suggested range includes running the onboard petrol powered range extender. The article doesn't include the electric only range and so I would think the advertising standards agency would not be happy with such a claim (if it progressed to a launched product)

It could be a good option for UK touring as my trips tend to involve a longer drive at the beginning and end with much shorter moves whilst in area. Those shorter moves could be on battery power only.
