My problem is the past tenses, and the group seems to have fallen away since covid. Please can we all make the effort to start it back up.

The main problem I have is not being in a situation to converse in and listen to Spanish. I do go to a class once a week but that’s a bit limited and I think I have forgotten far more than I knew. Also, we normally spend winter in Spain, lots of Neits so again need more actual immersion in Spanish. Don’t have that to look
Forward to so it’s taken the edge off learning.

I totally get that, Ive been a bit deflated in learning too recently. What if we set up a WhatsApp group between us so we could try having basic spanish conversations?

Will have a thought about a way forward. I just have no confidence at all speaking any language. Long story but stems from being shown up in a French class by the teacher when I was just 11. Vowed I wouldn’t put myself in that position again! Always wanted to learn Spanish so looking for a push.

I'm using Durlingo online using the free part ,as they are always trying to get you to sign up to pay, to be honest I'm struggling with it but, persevering,

My wife is trying to learn the language. She should be in the perfect position to do so because I speak it.

The problem is that I have absolutely no patience whatsoever and am of no help at all. My children failed to learn it for the same reason.

Inexcusable, I know.

She now has a cd course which will be useful as we drive distances in our mh. I did not seem to mind guiding her in her understanding as we drove along. This might be the key although unfortunately, due to Covid etc our long term touring has come to a standstill at the moment. We do however plan to tour, albeit for shorter periods, in the New Year.

Will let you know how she/I get on.
