that’s a bit unfair bill , with all the shit going on just now I said to the wife we need to get away from it all in the Scottish countryside for a week Or so after all that’s why we bought a MH , I think I have worked hard all my life & earned the right to do so , so That’s what we are going to do , get the videos on , the fire stick connected , BUT we don’t even have to start the engine , we will be in the MH in our blue shed next to the road at home where we keep it , it’s called making the best of what we got ?

I don’t think you could be criticised even if you went a bit further afield. You’re already living there and entitled to the healthcare if the worst happens. Whereas us germ infested sassenachs travelling in ??

Aye, we’ve seen a lovely bungalow and my house is on the market, but CV19 is going to have a massive impact on those plans.

It’s a shame about cancelling trips, but likewise, I’ve just this week taken a refund on our May ferry to Shetland.

They’ll still be there

just stay home man it's in my opinion selfish to say the least to go and travail at this time but you staying in you van on your own land(y)

We just spent the weekend over at Cove, Loch Ewe, we counted 12 motorhomes all weekend. Roads were quiet though, some people at Cove as it's the Russian Convoy Memorial site.

Think this will be it till we (UK/Scotland) get the go ahead to travel again.

We did notice lots of new house builds on west coast, I have a feeling there may be even more after this is done with.

At last, some good guidance. From now onwsrds nobody can say the government has not told us to stop using our motorhome.

Have you got a link to that please?
Sad state of affairs when government has to issue orders because the public has no common sense ! We had the same problem here !

Afraid not as a graphic - someone posted it on the Out & About Live forum, and I just copied and pasted it from there. But (before someone comes along to say how do we know it's genuine!) the text is on the government website at https://www.gov.uk/government/news/covid-19-essential-travel-guidance
Seen it on your link. (y)

It clearly says people should stay in their primary residence. I think that may help full timers like maz with their discussions with the CMC, and also Jim If your motorhome is your primary residence you are allowed to stay in it.

I would have thought that if you keep to yourselves in some of the less populated remote rural areas what harm is there? Appreciate the need for food and fuel. But you need food anyway even at home. Advice at the moment also suggests as long as you keep your distance it’s ok to go outdoors and get some exercise And fresh air.
I don’t usually shout, but all you stupid idiots who are liking this and posting things like this, STAY AT HOME. Remote areas are just that. They do not have the infrastructure to cope with extra people in the current situation. The Highlands eg have only 2 hospitals serving the Highlands and Islands. They are not the large hospitals that the big cities have. Seriously ill patients from the Islands have to be helicoptered to these hospitals.

DO NOT GO. STAY AT HOME.

I totally agree that if every one uses common sense and remain in their local area we will help defeat this virus. Where I live Sutton on Sea most people are doing the right thing, but last weekend both here and Skegness had an invasion of people (mostly from midlands) who when asked why they were here said “ the kids are off school so thought we would treat them to a day or two at the seaside”

And that’s the reason why this virus is very serious, because too many people are not taking it seriously.

My daughter picking up the wean on frid afternoon heard a very large group of mothers at school gate making plans for forthcoming events including days out...parties...overnight stays....trips here there and everywhere etc... as much as i hate saying this i beleive it is time to get serious and possibly mobalise the army.!!!!!!
