I have had several Autotrails all with the 2.8 engine. Would appreciate any on the reliability of the 3.0 one and if there are any common problems. Also what year did the dreaded clutch judder get resolved.

Cheers Colin

I’ve had 2 3 litre Fiat Mohos, one manual for 5 years and now an auto for the last 4 years. No problems whatsoever, just routine servicing.

We have a Hymer with three litre fiat ( iveco) engine mated to a manual gearbox. Whilst I don’t think is as good as our old Merc 2.7 it is however a good strong power plant, we sailed up the Massive Central in October, changing down a gear we pretty much maintained our traveling speed.

I have a 3.0 litre Fiat engine with an auto box,and the only problems I have had is a couple of fuel injectors.

From memory??? the clutch judder problem was linked to the introduction of the 2.3 Lt engine, mated with an unsuitably geared gearbox in 2006.

I don't think there were problems with the 3 Lt unit.

Clutch judder was fixed by 2010.
3 Lt known for burning out clutches due to the high torque and the DMF didn't fair too well on them, mainly due to driving style, if treated well they last well.
