Mrs W has the urge to tour Spain next Feb/March but doesn't fancy the drive through France.. it's a bit early to try and book ferry tickets at the moments, but what's the preferred way of booking tickets, companies etc?

Tried searching the forum, but way to many options with 'Spain' in the title..

(We'll have our cat too, so a cabin is wanted).

Your only choice is Brittany Ferries. 24/25 booking calendar won’t be out till June I have been told. As you require a pet cabin you will have to be very quick to grab one as they are in short supply. I have sent you a private message with a code that will get you a discount. 👍

Ye look at getting a campsite booked if you have an area you want to go to, it's been crazy busy on the costas this year .I have booked my campsite for next year before I even leave ,only way to guarantee a spot if its for more than a week or two.
Good luck with your plans

We're not to bothered about visiting the coast (at least the Hotspots). even so we don't normally stay for more than two or three days.. but thanks for the suggestions.

Remain flexible on Regions, places to stay, types of overnighting, it's an incredible time of the year to travel, this in itself is the reason the campsites and most camperparks are full..
Inland has so much to offer and is overlooked by the pull of the Med coast....
Ask questions nearer you proposed visit...😃🇪🇦🌞

We booked via the CMC Winter holidays deals. They did all the bookings for the ferry and sites. Adding it all together it turned out to be quite competitive re prices.

We have just travelled down from Dieppe to just south of Alicante. Took a fairly leisurely four days stopping at vivonne irurtzun and callo. Saw hundreds of British vans heading back but didn't see another heading in our direction until near Valencia only saw three altogether. Think if you leave it till mid Feb there will be plenty of spaces.
On a separate point we only stayed at callo as it came at the point on the journey when I was getting a bit tired to drive. The search for sites reviews were not very good. It is however one of the best Aires we have stayed on. Twelve marked bays on flat tarmac nine metres long. Two drive over waste drains toilet dump and fresh water all free. The nearest bar is literally at the end of the Aire and there is a small supermarket and an excellent bakery all within ten minutes walk. I would like to leave a positive review but it seems you have to be a paid up member to leave a review.

I’ve seen that too, I think some leave a bad review because they want it for themselves…

It's not the drive itself, it's doing it in the winter months that she doesn't like the Idea of..
