Thetford N3142 hinge failure?

Hi everyone,
Got a problem with my Thetford n3142 fridge freezer door in my 2019 Adria Coral Supreme. My wife tried to close the door but found that it didn’t close unless she lifted the door and pushed it closed. On inspection I noticed that, with the door open the top door hinge would flex and it looks as if something is either missing from around the hinge allowing it to flex, or else it is broken. I took a little video of it flexing but can’t see if I can load one on here. (I haven’t been a member that long.) Has anyone had the same problem? I am heading of for a few days on a Christmas rally with Club Adria, so will look at removing the door when I return. I will then have a closer look. Meanwhile I have asked Caktanks for a quote for a hinge. Has anyone else had this issue?

Looks like the insert has warn and now has a lot of play so it has dropped the door

If you know anyone with a 3d printer I bet they could make a new insert that come slightly up out of the insert and the goes wider on the top edge of door to give more spread to the load

Check the bottom hinge hasn’t worn allowing the top hinge to drop.

Yes I agree, you can see the pin moving/wobbling about, this will cause the top of the door to be out of line when closing.
Should be a repair kit if you speak to an Adria dealer, I would think the hole has elongated and stretched the diameter Similar to a car door hinge over time wears out and you have to lift in pkace !
It must be all those cold beers you been drinking, to much use over last 4 years lol

I can also change the door to open on the other side.

Just had a quote for a new hinge……..£73!!!!!!

If you've decided that you need new hinges, normal way is to research the makers part number from thetfords dwg of your fridge door, and use the power of Google /ebay to see who sells them, at least you would get more than one price
