Pretty much got the hang of it now!
Hello Wise Ones

I have noticed when I flush the toilet, there are little bits of black mould in the water. Any recommendations on how to clean the tank? I read on some website (Thetfords??) that one shouldn't use household bleach as it can cause damage to the plastic and possible the pump (?). Any wisdom is much appreciated as always.
Cheers
Paul

They say you can use it to clean the flushing tank but drain it straight out not through the toilet.

Yippee that's two toilet threads in the last day, we are on a roll.

The black bits are caused by a growth caused by the pink flushing stuff, best not to use it.
For cleaning the tank a mixture of citric acid and white wine vinegar works a treat, either works but not as effective when used together.

Hi All
Thanks for all the wise words/helpful tips -much appreciated. I have never use flushing additives in the flushing tank since buying our moho so it might be the remnant of additives used by the previous owner. Flushing out with mild bleach and emptying via the drain tube is good so will give it a try. It'll become part of my white water and grey water tank cleaning schedule now.

Cheers and Merry Christmas all.
