For those who are not going on the ride out Thetford town offers a wonderful place to visit,, with both ancient and modern history. There is a ‘Dads Army’ museum ( the program was made here in the town to a great extent ! ), the Ancient House, Button Island, River Walk, the Thomas Paine history ( he who wrote the ‘Rights Of Man’ which stirred up those pesky ‘A merkans’ in to revolt !! ) plus many more great places all around the area
If you fancy a bit of a ramble, just across the A134 from the camp site is the river which runs all the way in to Thetford. It is about 2 miles and is quite a tough walk.
See Jaws or one of the other ‘locals’ for more details

6) Tenze machine control race
7) Neil Diamond on Tour
8) Ped racing winners cup presented
9) Thank you’s !
10 ) Neil Diamond back on stage

4) Sad goodbye’s and farewell’s
3) Anyone left who can assist, help clear up the field with me !

As they say, ‘der management’ hopes you had a great time and would like to thank one and all for ‘coming on down’ !

Looks like you have done a great job.

Hope you all have a ball:thumb:

I love Thetford, its so peaceful and quiet, ideal for getting away in the motorhome and listening to the crickets and the gentle, rythmic noise they make scratching their legs interupted only by the long grass waving in the breeze.............

And then there came Jaws and his Thetford Bash. Have you warned OPTAG mate that you are not an invading force :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

LOL !! Wellllllllllll
We have quite a few battle areas around us, so we COULD be invaded !

One thing, you can very often hear small arms fire in the not too far distance..
Do not worry, they are not an invading force of taliban, just our lads practising what to do to the buggers if spotted !

What time is the ride-out leaving please? Not too early I hope.

Any chance of coming up and staying overnight at rugby club, Thursday night ta

Not a problem Ray
A few folks are going to do it .. Pamela and Nigel will be on hand to marshal folks in ! ( I sometimes wonder how on earth we would all get on without the 'Sundowners Rally Service' !! Cheers you guys :thumb: )

Top banana :thumb:
Get close to the front rather than the back.. Much more relaxed ride and considerably slower pace ! ( as in around 60'ish .. The guys at the back usually play and figures can be errr.. well lets say not QUITE legal...

I shall be using the 1200 GS as the Bird will be loaned out for the event..

We are used to the drop-off system. I have taken 200+ bikes on a ride out from Driffield to Whitby via Goathland.
Does anyone have CB's? Don't do "rubber duck" etc but very useful for the tail end Charlie to keep the run leader informed of what's happening at the back.

All the normal suspects will be on the UK bikers channel ( chnl 3 ) with no sub tones or encoding

Mind you, my set up is starting to get a bit tired nowadays.. Should be ok though
