For all those attending the Thetford Bash this year, at some time we will be having a 60's theme 'disco' at John Jaws request.

Just throwing it open, as with earlier events. If any attendee has a special track they would like played, (Doesn't have to be rigidly 60's) please post here and I will ensure I have a copy so can play it.

If it's a special track for someone and you want it kept as a surprise, please send me a private message, and I will be delighted to help.

I respectfully ask that only attendees post here as otherwise I then can't sort the wood for the trees, and experience of the last Shrewsbury New Year was that at least one person was disappointed as I missed the request and did not have the track with me. :(

Thanks .... Robin

You’ve obviously never been to a Funster rally and seen their normal clothing and footwear 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh I have been to many! I thought if the weather is wet we could embrace it and make it a feature.

........ please say Yes?
Yes.

Now what was the question? 😂

Yes, Covid restrictions mean we will need to be outside. Working with the band to make it work safely. Don't want lots of rain though. You can still wear your wellies.

I suppose if it's fine weather you could have a welly throwing competition during the interval. ;)

Could be quite funny especially if the wellies had someone wearing them at the time. (y)

One year there was some blow up kangaroo racing... Both my grandkids won !!
Those bloody kanagroos took up loads of space in the van and got moved about in my garage once home.
They would not let me deflate them.. !!
So one day I took a knife out :Eeek: but told the kids they had escaped and hopped off..:rofl:

Anyway... Best selling singles of the 60's.. no 3 !!!!!!!

Do I take these as your preferred order please? Circa 200 folks attending. If they all ask for four tracks that's roughly 800 X 2.5 mins = 33 hours of music to fit into one evening. 😕
If not many requests, happy to play them all.

Looks like your going to have a long night then ;) haven't done any disco since 2014 and then it was all by computer but happy to help out.(y)

on refection could you play these two please.
As of 2019, Guinness World Records states that the longest officially released song was “The Rise and Fall of Bossanova,” by PC III, which lasts 13 hours, 23 minutes, and 32 seconds. The longest recorded pop song is “Apparente Libertà,” by Giancarlo Ferrari, which is 76 minutes, 44 seconds long.

I still have decks available, but don't want to lug them over as already bringing my big mixer plus mics, lights etc. All my CD's are on hard disk, but I have today copied two requested tracks from 45rpm singles.

My days of playing vinyl are long past I discarded cd's in favour of a laptop in 2000. Sooo much easier to carry around. ;)

Show me the way to go home, about 1 pm when the bar closes
Coming from Bath, we sing this ...

Indicate the way to my abode,
I’m fatigued and I wish to retire,
I sipped a small beverage 60 minutes ago,
And its travelled straight to my cranium,
No matter where I perambulate,
Over land, or sea, or agitated water,
You will always hear me harmonising this melody,
Indicate the way to my abode.

We’re posh in Bath!

Help me make it through the night.. Gladys Knight and The Pips

For those that have 'new' ones, how about 'The Hippy, Hippy Shake' and 'Glad all over' (I knew her WELL!) + 'Do-Wah-Diddy-Diddy-Dum- Diddy-Do'?

Just for the FUN of being alive!
