There is a new poll about air bag ecu failure in the Tech/mech general section

Been a few more posts about airbag failure again so I thought id try and get some real info.
Please note I hit maximum responces so please try to find best fit.
As to my vote (2017 Ducato) it failed 4 hours ago MOT booked Wednesday. Please reply we need this info for an informed decision even though I suspect the only way is a new ECU

Hi , I have a 2013 Fiat Ducato , I had the dreaded Airbag light come on … had the dealer look at it ahead of my MOT on 1st Feb.
Was informed it needed a new one , as there are different modules apparently, they needed to get the correct serial number ? Before letting me know price.
Surprise , surprise, my one was the more expensive one at £590 , they said they fitted it for free as I was having it serviced as well, I have euro tunnel booked for next week so had no choice but to cough up.
