Well everyone enjoyed the last two meets here, so we will be holding the 3rd one from the 11th until the 13th of May.

So we will be having a mini meet from the 11th till the 13th of May or longer if you wish.

This site is just a couple of hundred metres from " Alton Water " a vast man-made lake.

It was created in the 1970s and 80s to supply drinking water to the people of South Suffolk.

This is a great place for dog walks, there is one about three miles long round the tail end of the lake right near the pub.

You can Cycle right round the rest of lake about 8.5 miles, watch the yachts sailing, see all the wildlife or just go for a walk, or even just relax and chat.

Jimmys farm is about 2 miles away. http://www.jimmysfarm.com/

There is a bus stop outside the gate.

The pub serves food and the site takes a maximum of 14 vans with about 8 electric hook ups ( that we will share ! ) water and a toilet block with washbasin. The cost is £7 a night or £9 with electric.

As usual we will put the marquee up for our chats and entertainment , and being a small meet no one gets left out............................. Unless you want to.

Hi John, we would come to yours the week before if it goes ahead, but the White Horse is booked that weekend so it had to be the 11th, and we go to Newbury Show the following weekend ! Jane said what's this swap thing......................... Its not where you put your keys in the pot is it.

We could swap there John, but as you know its max 14 vans. Bob.

Sort of a boot sale for Motorhome related stuff only.. I believe Pammy came up with the ide originally, Paul took it on board and ran with it and it has been a great success..
Trouble is it is a hellova long way away from this area so I was trying to get something going for East Anglian and surrounding area..

Originally wanted to go for the last bank holiday weekend as per this year,,, but Jim wanted to do an anniversary meet sometime about then.. Had to wait until a decision was made .. sadly no decision made on that and the site has now been booked by someone else.. So put forward other suggestions but kept getting knocked back.. Then suggested the first may bank holiday..
Then this .. so just think it best I take the hint and leave it to others

I really do not think it would be worth running the two events one after the other so will just step back.. no problem

So just no worries..

Unless Jim makes a decision and I go back to the original mid(ish) June date

But in all honesty I think I would rather forget about it completely and just relax at the White Horse.. let others worry about it all

I am sure everyone from this area will quite happily go to Cheshire for Pauls swap meet anyway :thumb:
