up at Whitby and it’s 50/55mph outside and unfortunately side on to the wind . Almost tore off the silver screen but rescued that .

In for a bumpy evening . Anyone else caught out in it ?

We down in Dorset and it’s been windy for 2 days now, moving up to Cirencester tomorrow for a few days.

Yes its bad here in Bedale chucking it down and windy.

Screens seem ok so far

About 50 here earlier in mid/south Wales, but quieter now. I was out earlier in the year in 50+ mph winds and know the Hymer is fine even in the wrong direction and without stabilisers down. Just rocks a little.

Worst of the weather has cleared us and wind dropping
You should be fine in an hour or so

Blowing a hoolie here, plants/trees in the garden taking a right bashing, fortunately not much to come adrift though!

Got caught in a storm in Ilfracombe a few years ago as we arrived on a site. We were told by a very stiff warden how to park, which was side on to the wind. By 10pm, it was clear that we weren't going to sleep, so I went out, disconnected the electrics and rolled off the ramps, turned the van into the wind and set it all back up again. Got soaked, but at least we got some sleep. Most other people were sensible enough to have gone home, so its not like there were any fire safety issues.

Just driven home from Birmingham and tail/side wind most of the way but very blustery as we got closer too home (Guisborough) and it was dark by then as well so not a lot of fun, I can understand it being a bit windy at Whitby though ;)

It makes a change we are not away if theres storms brewing. We were in North Yorkshire during the mini beast from the east. Norfolk for storm Dennis and Norfolk for another storm with a girls name.

Drove (well towed) home to the Isle of Wight from Cirencester today. The last week at Ciren. was not bad but the trees certainly lost a lot of leaves and, in parts, you cannot see what is hard stand and what is not.

Had a problem finding the car one morning as it resembled a compost heap.

The journey was not bad and the 'lorry ruts in the Motorway caused more problems than wind.

We expected the crossing to be a tad bumpy but it was fine.

That was our second 6 week tour this year and the great thing, as Hil and I agree, 'It's great to go away and visit places new and old- but it's grand to come home!).
