Training got underway in earnest yesterday for the 1st annual FB pie rolling contest; held this year at the Royal Wedding Meet:BigGrin: Its not easy funsters, so get some practice in if you can:BigGrin: Oh and don't try it too close to an expensive motorhome, those tins have a mind of their own, especially the "Boozy Steak"

I expect the shape of the tin gives it 'bias' when rolling, one would need to visit their local bowling green for tips I suggest.
Either that or adapt the style of the great David Byant and have a pipe as an aiming reference!

are customized FB tins allowed :BigGrin:

For clarification, does that 'no mod' rule apply to emptying them ?

Prizes for the winners are as follows

1st place 1pie

2nd place 2pies

3rd place 3 pies

All competition tins must stayed unopened (and thus full of the original contents) until the Judges have awarded the prizes... (in this way they remain in a condition suitable for using in the bribery of the aforementioned judge(s)....)

As is often the case with FB cans often "stick" together. Surely this will pass as normal and not customised :Wink:

A word to the wise....

Its unlikely but if your steak and kidney pie version bychance had a bit of meat in it.....it could bring on a wobble.

I've never found a solid bit of meat.....but back in the old days it was not uncommon.... you never know .

Be prepared.

I understood from earlier posts is is a pie throwing, not rolling contest, has it been changed?

I have consulted the WWFOFBPRA (World Wide Federation Of Fray Bentos Pie Rolling Associations) and they confirm my thoughts...

No modifications to the Pie Storage System (the can) is allowed.
