We arrived in San Sebastián , N.Spain nearly 2weeks ago on route to Valencia area . Partly to meet friends and enjoy some sunshine. After 3 days of rain and red dust from the Sahara I climbed onto the roof to clean the solar panels , the dust had turned to a slippery film of red clay . The weather reports coming from our friends helped us decide to come back into France and explore the west coast starting at Bayonne we are now at Mimizan next stop Biscarrosse .
Really enjoying the sunshine and days out on our push bikes .
Can anybody recommend any areas north of here , coastal or inland . We have 4weeks left before catching the ferry , but don’t want to get too far north , too early . We do like cycling besides rivers and canals ( bit easier on our creaky knees ) . :giggle::giggle:
Cheers .

The Isle de Re is lovely, very flat, good cycling. An interesting stop is Rochefort, south of La Rochelle: it has the Royal dockyards and ropeworks and an aire just beside the town walls.
I would second the Marais Poitevin, Coulton has a nice ACSI site. Look up their TI for information on the Rallye du Marais , where local groups dress up and do a treasure/scavenger hunt on the waterways at night, brilliant community event, truly memorable. 29th-30th June this year.

Is it best for warm weather to do 90 day tour around Spain October, November and December instead of January, February, and March ? Just to shorten our probably not so good weather October to March months
As jumar said I'd go for year end. Although this year jan & feb had little rain yet march onwards rather a lot.

Many thanks for all your destination ideas, we visited quite a few , Ile de Re was probably our favourite.
we finished off with 3 days on the River Mayenne . Most campsites were still closed, but it was so nice
using the fantastic Aires of France again :giggle::giggle:

Had a bit of rain last night in Eastbourne. The first for many weeks and the gardens really needed it. This morning blue skies and warm weather forecast for the weekend.

We came through the area Extremadura about a week ago, and the barragem near Helechosa de Los Montes is still very low, so not had half enough rain yet. ☔😯😁 Bob.

Strangely, the North has been drier than the traditionally dry south this winter. Some motorhomers have had a great month travelling out of their normal areas. Some have really had their eyes opened as to what Spain has on offer.

Yes but .............. we don't tell everyone, because when people rent our apartment that's the Spain they have pictured in their head, their holidays are miles apart from ours. 🤔 😁 Bob.
