Good morning funsters
I seem to get one problem fixed and then another one happens
Why should the fridge on electric reach temperature and then shuts off ?
It works ok on gas
Thanks

It depends on the Fridge. Make, model, age.

Older 3 ways didn’t really have any ‘control’ there is an on/off thermostat connected to the control knob for 240V and the same knob regulates gas flow and ‘cooling effect’ for gas. On 12V it is more about some sort of cooling effect to help the fridge stay cool when travelling.

If unsure, just turn it to maximum and if things get too cold and start to freeze in the fridge bit, turn it down a bit.

Remember 3 ways are inefficient and will never chill as powerfully as a compressor fridge. Minimise door openings as much as possible.
