I trust Mary is doing ok Derek?
Thank you for asking.

I don't know what you know from previous posts, but,
following Chemo, Mary was given a diagnosis of Full remission
from NH Lymphoma in January 2023.

She has an 'armful' taken out of her on three monthly periods
followed up by a consultation by telephone.

Her immune system has come back to the point where they are
back between normal parameters and she is living life to the full.

Don't you mean "earlier"?

No. I mean later.

There were two 'suspicious' posts and we held
a 'Stewards ' enquiry (mainly based on the antecedent
history of one of the two.) (Ex Diplomatic Corps me!)

However, after a forensic examination, it was discovered
that the two posts were ligitimate.

ALL the Funsters on the Attendees List posted AT 7.00pm (and not later)(or earlier?)

Fantastic news that Mary is on the up Derek.
Maybe not the right place to post but do you want some books brought for your charity?

Thank you for your comments.

As for books, could I ask that you put that request onto the back burner.

At Christmas our youngest Son delivered a vast number of books that he
had bought for us at ridiculous rates (ie 10 for a £)

We will see how the 'season' works out. At the moment we are travelling to
Shepton for the Warners Show. Two years ago, the attendees from all over the
park nearly cleared us out of books but we have a bigger van with a bigger garage
and we should have plenty of stock.

If I think I need any books, you can be assured I will ask later on.

I have now posted up the list of Attendees and reserves for this Rally.

I will be sending all those on the substantive list a Conversation, inviting
you to pay the Deposit which this year is £20

It has come as quite a surprise to see that every one on 'The List' and even a few on
the Reserve List posted up their request to attend at 7.00pm and not later.

We are sorry that we couldn't accommodate everyone but have pushed the numbers
as far as we dare. No doubt we will have cancellations in due course.

I forgot and was watching Countryfile. 😢
Can you make it 20.00 next year? 😄

I have sent each of the Attendees on 'The List,' a Conversation, inviting you
to pay the Deposit of £20.

Could I also ask that you check the details I have for you and advise on the Conversation
if I've got anything wrong.

When you have paid any money, please advise on the Conversation and I will acknowledge receipt.

Glad to read that Mary is doing so well.
Cos' I'm a nerd and remember these things, the fastest ever Rally fill up, and
it was for Plum was I think, 16 minutes.
"We're gonna need a bigger boat campsite?"
Is there scope for the owners using the adjacent CL as a rally field for the Plum Festival. I believe they are allowed something like 30 days a year to go over the 5 units. Quackers would know. Obviously not this year as they probably already have bookings.
We are off to Twinwood again this year so a clash with Plum Festival but looking forward to Schools Out.

I have made enquiries and ascertained that there are two chances of 'adopting' the CL for the duration of the rally.
1. Fat chance
2.No chance at all!!!

The owners have clients who attend Plum every year without fail and additionally are regular visitors. John and Lisa don't want to lose those customers.

Hi Derek & Mary (and everyone else of course)

Conspicuous by our absence from the FFF list and comments, I thought I'd pop on and give an update regarding myself and Jilly. We decided not to request to attend the rally this year because on the 20th December we moved house, and we now live a grand total of 20 minutes away, just outside Evesham in a lovely little village called Badsey. So unless specifically forbidden we shall pop along and say hello to you all while you are there and hopefully catch up with a few familiar faces. I sincerely hope there will be plenty of dry weather between now and then, goodness knows it has been more than slightly damp around here, and the rivers have been somewhat wider and higher than usual.

Thanks for looking & have fun everyone

Booking for this Rally opens at 7.00pm Sunday 11th February.

THE PERSHORE PLUM FESTIVAL RALLY
AVON BANK MEADOWS,
WYRE PIDDLE, PERSHORE, WORCS. WR10 2JF
20th - 27TH AUGUST 2024

We have great pleasure in once again inviting Funsters to the Pershore Plum Festival Event 2024..

Read the 'stuff' at the bottom, ie Adults only, and No 'Third Party' bookings.

Location: Avon Bank Meadows Field, Mill Lane, Wyre Piddle, Worcestershire. WR10 2JF
This is a Caravan and Motorhome Club C.L with an event field, (It's more like a manicured lawn). You do not need to be a member of the C&MC Club to attend this event.

Avon Bank Meadows was awarded the Caravan and Motorhome Club CL of the Year 2018.
It's beside the River Avon which is navigable. Boating/kayaking/canoeing and fishing are allowed from the site.

It can be seen that the space available for this event could be described as 'compact and bijoux'. I reluctantly therefore have to restrict attendees to Coachbuilt and A Class 'vans (and smaller). We cannot accommodate R.V.'s

The Event starts at 12 noon on TUESDAY 20th August 2024
finishing at 11.00am TUESDAY 27th August 2024
Please note the Start Day is Now TUESDAY.

THIS IS AN 7 NIGHT EVENT
.
The cost of the Event, (7 Nights) is £126, £18 per nt. to Include your Pitch with EHU.

Wyre Piddle is within easy walking distance, where there is a Pub, and buses to nearby towns.
Pershore is a flat, pleasant, one mile walk through water meadows where the festival, entertainment and events take place. Pershore has an ASDA and numerous shops, Pubs, bars and cafes.

Facilities: Although a basic site, Avon Bank has EHU for each attendee, TV Aerial sockets, and there are several water taps around the site. There are laundry facilities. (Washing machine and Dryer, payment)

Access: Double gates from Mill Lane direct into Wyre Boatyard. Gravel driveway leading to the Rally Field.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome. They must be on leads or tethered on the rally field. There is ample provision for exercise off the site.
Generators: As there is EHU for all, No generators please.
There are no Toilet or Shower facilities on site. There is Black waste disposal.

Fishing;
You may fish direct from the site subject to having a rod licence.

Deposit: The Deposit of £20 is due when your Name has been transferred onto the list of attendees.
When you put your name down to attend, please provide your parties first name(s) and Reg. No. of the Van

Payment: Full Payment is due on or before 1st August

When you get on the List of Attendees, you will receive a ‘Conversation’ that will give information as to how to pay.

N.B. We appreciate that in a small number of cases there may be Funsters who have to cancel. The Deposit and Final Payment will be repaid if that place is filled by someone on the Reserve List. Otherwise the Deposit will be forfeited and that money will go to Charity.

ADULT ONLY
The Event Field at Avon Bank Meadows is alongside and has unrestricted access to the River Avon which is deep. There is no objection to a child visiting with 'Day Visitors.'

THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS
I will not be accepting bookings from 'Third Parties' on this and any subsequent events. If you wish to attend with a mate, you will both, (or more) have to book in your own name.

To give a taste of what can be expected during the festival, here are some of the Highlights.

N.B. The vast majority of events taking place during the Festival are free

Bike Night; Bikers and their machines, (Motor bikes, Mopeds, Choppers, Scooters) descend from far and wide, (in aid of 999 Charities) to procession through the town. Thursday

Classic Car Show over the BH Weekend:. This is held in the Abbey grounds in the Town Centre and attracts marques of every description.

The Big Plum Beer, Food and Music Festival,
Concerts
Plum Coach Tours.
Flower Show
Live band gigs in Pubs

This is but a small example of things to see and do at what has been voted the best festival and event in Worcester for the past six years.

You are on (@ No. 19)
I can't say I've ever been down at that number before, but, you never know!
If you don't ask and, at least for another occasion, you now know when to look etc.
I ALWAYS give a weeks notice of when the attendees list opens.
