Finding Perfection
So, I park up and have breakfast.. I open my fridge to take out and put some bacon back in..

I go for a walk.. I come back, open the fridge and the door falls off.

I look at the door and the pin from the hinge of the door is missing.. it’s not on the floor, it’s not in the fridge, it’s GONE.. how is this even possible without someone breaking into my Motorhome and stealing it.. and only it..

So frickin weird..

Anyway, now having searched for the “pin” and not found it or the person who stole it I need to get a new one, but have no idea what it is called or what it even looks like really..

Here’s a picture of my fridge.

Can anyone help?

.gavin.

Kind a parts 17 and 18 is what you are looking far
There should be an identical part on the bottom

So, the mystery deepened.. ok, I’m building it up a bit here..

It deepened and then I deepened.

I called leisure spares and cross referenced the diagram they and Stealaway sent me.. nope no part..

So, I called Thetford directly..

“it’s not listed,” said Kay, “we’ve never been asked for one!”

“I’ll send you one out, what’s your address?”

How much do I owe you says I?

“Nothing love, it’s on us”

Thanks Kay and thanks Thetford for your awesome customer service.

Mystery solved..

Thanks all

For minor bits like this, the ability to cannibalise is useful. Trouble is the "come in handy" bits and bobs are usually in the garage at home.
Then you can spend a week and still never find them, I think many of us are like that, you never know when you might need a bit like that, so you form many bits & bobs boxes, or you need two bits and only have one.:swear:

No, it's an obscure phenomenon called Spontaneous Total Existence Failure. Not only does it cease to exist, but all history and previous traces of its existence disappear at the same time. As hypothesised in the writings of that celebrated scribe Douglas Adams. I find nowadays it's more common than people think. :giggle:

This makes perfect sense.. I wish you had posted on this earlier.. it would have saved me looking for something that wasn’t there anymore..

Check your cupboards for a Tupperware lid that doesn't fit anything you've got.
Anything that just disappears metamorphosises into an Tupperware lid that doesn't fit anything

I know. I could never find lids so I stared wearing plastic boxes on my feet years ago.. it made up for all the odd socks..
