The Manifold Way - best sites

Thinking of visiting the MW this year on bikes.
Would anybody please recommend the best site , given my wife is very nervous on a bike on the open road.
Ideally I would like to be able to get to the Manifold valley without using the motorhome from the site.
We are camc members.

Look up Bank House Farm ,that's where we were based when we did it ,The Manifold inn opposite the site

in the end I booked Crowtrees Farm at the South end of the Manifold way.
It's about 8 tenths of a mile on the main road to this start point so we will do that bit on the pavement.
I was a bit wary of the sites around the Manifold inn , not all reviews were positive and thought it maybe better to avoid the lanes round there.

Bank House Farm is OK, but I'd avoid school holidays.

No. Thank you.
I'll look it up.
My wife broke her shoulder on the Tarka trail, two years ago , so she is wary of anywhere with a poor surface.

There's also the High Peak trail and Monsal Trail which I'd definitely recommend.
The surfaces on all of them are compacted hardcore / gravel and generally fine for cycling although some areas get damaged and are a little rough so she'd need to look ahead.
Manifold way has short stretches of country lanes with the odd car.
