The Haggis announces Covid QR code for us Scots at last

Same here. We have paper copies of the Scottish forms with QR codes. We have completed two different sets of forms to get a French covid certificate. Neither have borne fruit so far.

Meanwhile, we have successfully scanned the QR codes into the TAC app, and also get an Invalid response when checked agains the Verif app. Cannot do any more, we're off tomorrow, boat on Wednesday. We'll see what happens when we get there.

I wouldn’t worry too much, as most places (so far) have accepted us just showing them the paper certificates. If you are spending your much needed money there, why would they turn you away 🤞. The Verif app gets a 2 star rating (for the Apple version), so it sounds as if it is pretty poor overall. Last update for it was over 2 weeks ago, so hopefully a better version will appear soon.

Yes the NON VALID came up today as we tried to enter Fontainebleau Chataeu!
We’re we denied access?
No the couple of middle aged women who were checking looked at our phone app and as we were willing to go and get our vacation certificates they agreed to let us in.
Common sense for all.

Yip. QR code shows as invalid when scanned, but no problems with paper certificate being accepted here in France.
It's hot here! Glad we can get a cold beer in the local bars

Guess what…a new version of the TousAntiCovid Verif app has been released (1.9.0) 👍👍…..but still does not accept (Non valid) the Scottish QR code from the TousAntiCovid app (3.8.1)

You just need the Password: 'Tartan Army', it'll get you into any pub or restaurant and a VERY social night will follow ... ;)

My abiding memory is walking into a local bar on the way back from an evening cycle ride, and all conversation stopping. The local Giant Haystacks stood up slowly and made an 'open fist' with a circle between index finger and thumb, placing the circle over the tip of his nose and twisting it gently [a gesture that translates robustly as 'I am going to drink you under the table, wimp']. I replied by placing my right index finger under my right eye and pulling the skin downwards ['I don't think so' or a Glaswegian 'Aye right'] ...

A very social followed, culminating in an invitation to a guided tour of the tuffeau cave dwellings and a throwing out time 'Grand Depart' wave off from the Bar with shouted entreaties to 'ride on the right' ... Never did make the guided tour ...

Belgium has announced that it’ll accept the Scottish Covid passport as proof of vaccination.
Glaswegian to be the first to flash the COVID Passport to the barman and slur the famous phrase, 'Thanks, pal; you're a real Ghent ...'?

Another data point.

Newhaven this morning. Scanned passports, inspected covid vaccination certificates, and commented on drive from Scotland.

Dieppe inspected passports and covid certificates. Neither referenced the Sworn Statement documents, nor the contents of the fridge - although it was empty.

I spotted just two UK stickers, one being affixed to a car at the port. Most cars I saw had no means of identification at all, not even a little EU sticker on the number plate. Of course we had everything, care of Amazon.

At the Dieppe beach aire we spotted Angle Mort stickers on some French, German and Dutch vans. Our stickers are safe inside the van for now. Just one other UK (or GB) registered van here, though it’s pretty full.

The aire includes free EHU for those lucky enough to find an empty socket, or clever enough to have a French “Y” splitter. Electrons only available during three time slots during the day. And then you have to plug in for just one hour. We did - scouts honour :)

Absolutely no tables or chairs outside - unless you are French.

Some restaurants were insisting on covid QR codes, others like the one we chose didn’t even ask. But we were outside.

Masks on in shops, and while moving about on the boat.

First day in France and we’re already covid suspects. Being good citizens we had registered in Scotland with Test and Protect, but we were contacted by Test and Trace from an adjacent country who complained we had not registered with them, and sent us texts.

We’re in France so first step was to check the rules here. With double jab done previously, get a test and, if negative, you’re good to go (though with another test later, I believe).

Test at a pharmacy in Dieppe was quick and easy, though €25 each. We’re negative. No need to show Covid forms, just passports.

Thanks daughter-in-law and grand-daughter for getting Covid. We only came to see you for an hour!
